09 Sep The secrets to a great pitch
You have 60 seconds. Action!
Imagine that you are invited up on stage to pitch your startup in front of hundreds of people with an audience of potential investors, successful entrepreneurs and journalists.
What is your pitch and how will you stand out from the crowd?
When crafting your pitch, ask yourself
1. Who – Describe who you are
Be brief. What awesome detail would you like the audience to remember and sets you apart from everyone else in the room?
2. What – Describe what you do
State your value phrased as key results or impact. How will your startup add value?
3. Why – Describe why you are unique
What are the unique benefits that your startup brings to the market and what makes your company outstanding?
What is the unfair advantage that you bring to the table that no other company can replicate?
Is the mission of your company aligned with your beliefs?
Is your business founded on an insight (that is logical yet unexpected, forward-looking and hard to follow) thus leveraging it’s knowing why?
4. Goal – Describe your goal
What are your immediate goals? Keep in mind that goals should be concrete, defined, and have a definite deadline.
